Pluto Security is out of stealth with $42M funding!
Exactly one year ago, Pluto was an idea.
A very strong idea, with a very clear belief behind it: the way people work was about to fundamentally change because of AI, and security needed to change with it.
We saw this shift coming before most realized it was happening. Everyday employees were suddenly becoming builders, integrating AI agents, coding tools, MCPs, browser extensions, and custom workflows directly into their daily routines. While the industry was still figuring out how to categorize this wave, we stepped up to address the problem space head-on.
What we didn’t fully anticipate was just how fast this transformation would move.
Today, one year later – it’s a spaceship. (A pink and yellow one, obviously. 🩷🚀)
From day one, our mission was built around a fundamental enablement narrative. For decades, cybersecurity has been framed as the department of “NO”: the speedbump that slows teams down and restricts new technologies in the name of risk management. We set out to flip that paradigm completely.
Security shouldn’t halt innovation but serve as a genuine business enabler and driver. With Pluto, CISOs achieve a true “have your cake and eat it too” posture: maintaining complete enterprise security without slowing down employee work speed or blocking access to critical AI tools.
That vision is already translating into real impact at scale. Today, Pluto secures more than 1.5 million endpoints across enterprise customers worldwide, spanning diverse industries and including multiple Fortune 500 companies. Even some of the world’s leading AI companies trust us to secure their own AI environments (very meta, I know!). And along the way, we’ve reached multi-million-dollar ARR at a pace that still amazes us when we look back.
Beyond building a category-defining enterprise product, we have made a dedicated commitment to a broader public service agenda. We believe the entire ecosystem benefits when software and AI are built and deployed with a secure, “hell yeah” mindset. That is why we invest substantial company resources back into the wider tech community:
- Cutting-edge vulnerability research: Uncovering critical security findings to protect the ecosystem before threats materialize.
- An active, multi-layered knowledge hub: Delivering deep technical analyses, operational frameworks, and insights for security and engineering leaders.
- Plutonium: Open-source tools and resources: Providing security and development teams across organizations with freely available tools to build securely from the ground up.
Our brand, just like our product and our overall agenda, was designed to reflect the way we do things differently. For us, the cybersecurity community is fundamentally a people-first one. We built Pluto to bring personality, clarity, and excitement to an industry too often defined by corporate tropes and blue shields.
None of this growth happens in isolation.
In just twelve months, we have assembled an extraordinary team across Israel and the US: engineers who ship with incredible speed and rigor, researchers who continuously uncover the unexpected, product leaders who live inside the problem, and go-to-market teams who deeply respect the daily reality of the CISOs we serve.
To our early investors and partners: thank you for trusting our vision early on, giving us the freedom to take calculated risks, and encouraging us to build Pluto our way.
To our customers – and true partners: thank you for bringing us into your most critical environments, challenging our roadmap, and building this platform alongside us.
AI is transforming the workspace, the endpoint, and enterprise architecture faster than any wave before it. Employees are becoming builders, and AI agents are becoming core coworkers. We are privileged to be operating at the very center of this transformation – with the right problem, at the right time, alongside the most amazing team a founder could ever dream of.
We are only getting started.
To Pluto and beyond. 🚀🪐
